Earlier this year, Jenny Raggett and Steve Chambers were faced with the difficult decision to close down operations at the end of December if we could not secure adequate funding.
But now we have good news.
Since then, we have been able to secure 50% of the grant funding we need for the year ahead. We believe that we should be able to secure the remainder of what we need from a mix of further grant funding, ongoing consultancy work and donations. We are happy to say that Transport for New Homes will not close at the end of 2024.
We were approached by many people who were sorry to hear about impending closure and wanted to help. Now we have some of the grant funding we need, we do have a way you can help us.
We want to plug some of the gap in our budget through a donations fundraiser. This is what we are looking to do in the year ahead and your donation would support:
- Finish production of our first annual ‘State of the Nation’ report
- Communicate our findings as widely and effectively as possible
- Use a fundraising professional to help us secure more funding for our continued survival
