An appeal from Transport for New Homes

Transport for New Homes is principally funded by grants. In order to fund our work, such as the What is Being Built in 2025? report, we are constantly bidding for and securing funds from grant giving bodies. Donations and consultancy work make up a smaller part of our income, but they essential for keeping us going and give us the capacity to bid for grant funding.

In 2024 we put out a direct appeal for donations for the first time. The response was so great that we were able to continue our work, plugging a gap in our budget for the year. Donations have now become a bigger part of the income used to fund our work.

Although we did not ask for regular donations, our Action Network fundraising service gives supporters the option to make donations monthly. Some of our supporters chose this option and we would like to thank them directly. Our overheads are very low, but thanks to these regular donations the costs of things such as our website were covered every month.

But we want to do more than keep our website going. We now find there is a very challenging grant funding environment. Right at the time our work is more needed than ever:

  • Tracking the New Towns programme to ensure transport is properly funded
  • Promoting transit-led development served by regional rail metro services
  • Encouraging reallocation of underused car parking to housing

If you have considered making a donation before, please do so now, to help us continue our work.
